Hello blog followers!

Welcome to my 4th blog note and for those just joining us, welcome, and be sure you let us know you are following so I know who I am writing to. Plus cousin Jane is good to teach me all parts and teach me to handle this project on my own.
Welcome, it's hard to believe that today is one of those sunny days where even I get warm with the sun coming in the window, like a warm spot where the dog or cat likes to soak it up! My world is forever unfolding. I guess I'm lucky to be alive and I am working on getting walking which takes a lot of the physio time as they are using different technique called Bobath which is radically different than what I learned at Ponoka and I think it is very good.
I'm dragging Sue back to the pool here, and she helps me with replicating what I am learning in physio as well as just relaxing in the hot tub. Ok, I just get warmed up when Sue turns red in the face. Oh well I'm trying to regulate my body temperature which helps me get my muscles ready to work.
I know I fought getting an electric wheel chair but I am trialing one now and I use it to get into a position so I can stand to do things, and I have much better posture than when I foot propel in my manual chair. Because I have this chair I stand up to brush my teeth and use the bathroom sink, which was a nice change as I could never see and felt like a grommet just hanging on. I am able to help prepare meals and stand to wash dishes. Get a cloth rinsed and clean the counter.
I am getting my old computer setup by cousin Jane and hope to store my documents like what Steve Jobs envisioned on a cloud. I really enjoyed the biography of Steve because he really did think differently and I was quite surprised how many Apple products I actually owned. But I'm glad to have my iPhone and I will connect it to a service and then I will have to use that bugger.
The truth about my transformation is that I feel like I am waking up and learning about what is new and unfortunately what is not.
I learned a week or so ago that a strong character from Portland who was very connected and committed to starting the CGWA. He skied a lot with CMH heliskiing. He, Fred Nobel, has been fighting ALS or Lou Gerhig's disease and is having a tough a time like I'm having, but I am at least getting better. It is dam slow, one step in front of the other and I learn from people like Fred Nobel as this is the biggest project I have ever taken on! In my second life, cause the first one was loaded, but never with a project like this. My goal for this year is to gain some flexibility and independence by capitalizing to take the great help Sue has provided by learning to walk and to safely transfer myself from chair to chair.
I have a got friend Sandi, Al Safrata's wife, to help me with yoga and stretching. I did a lot of yoga in Calgary, and Hood River,
so it is a good place to start. I can't do much but I'm getting ready and today she came, I had forgotten how to breathe deeply. My friend, Andreas Yuen has a good yoga studio here so somehow some way it will happen and it will help me with my recovery!
I am really enjoying my time at Sue's house and having daily interaction with Max & Kate. I know I am a lot of work and I won't stay here too long but it sure beats the Hospital!
I'm going to start to work (cause I like to focus) on new ideas and I'll be quite challenged but will have help from my good friend Arlene and my friend Bruce helping me. It seems the good idea I was working on Xventure resorts hit a chord with the waterpark people. It's funny how things go full circle because I heard on OPB radio while driving between Hood River how this small town in WI had a good summer business but the winter, spring & fall was really slow. Well that sounded like Hood River. So I did a lot of investigating and came up with a healthy and better concept than the original concept of the waterpark. So, enter a radical healthy water-type park that will appeal to the corporate people during the week and the Families on weekends and the summer. So, it can be busy all year long. I proposed that to the Port Commission of Hood River and The Dalles but...Whatever... I think there are some interested people now, so the timing just wasn't right. We'll see. It is nice to have something and Bruce and Arlene are great to support my efforts!
Well that is about all there is except if there are friends out there that are interested to give Sue a break, I would love some time out on the weekends. It could just be a coffee and visit. Eventually I will get to working out at the gym just below (Glen Eagle) or the West Van pool, I have a membership at both but don't yet have a routine to follow. Anyways, I am really enjoying learning and staying in West Van and plan to have a VoIP on my IPhone. You can email me at pegola2@hotmail.ca or call me at Sue's 604-921-9922. I'm not too great on the phone but I will get better. Thanks
